Have you ever watched someone being bullied or have you ever been the target of bullying yourself? Our usual response to bullying is to fight back, run away, or ignore it and try to be the better person while the bully has their way.
But what if you knew of another alternative? One that didn’t invite more aggression…one that puts you in control of the situation so that you do not lose face in front of peers…one that helps diffuse or even handle the bully while you stand your ground?
- How not to think or react like a victim
- How to stand up for yourself if you are an intended target of bullying or violence
- How to stand up for others as the bystander
- How to break the cycle of self-sabotage that causes aggressive behavior or bullying
In a world of “dog eat dog” and insensitivity, Mushy the Martian lands on Planet Earth to gain more insight on how to become a leader. Upon his first visit, Mushy encounters a group of friends who have different views on how they deal with bullies. After listening to his friends’ advice, Mushy must decide the best approach on how to handle bullying.
Mushy the Martian: Dealing with Strangers Mushy the Martian: Dealing with Strangers is a book teaching authority figures how to train your children not to be a victim to child predators. Child predators use lures or try to groom your child into liking them so that they will eventually get their way. It’s not always a physical abduction that is traumatizing to the whole family, but sometimes just a good story or lure that can easily trick your child into doing what the stranger wants. Dealing with Strangers is an educational tool, with author's tips and an identity chart that will help you with the process of educating the children against the child predator.
This book was written to help parents and teachers that have kids who misbehave and don’t follow directions. Whether the child acts out at home, in public or at school, we hope this book offers a positive solution to helping correct the child’s behavior through goal setting and a reward system rather than any punishment.
Heroes in Action, Inc. would like to thank the following Foundations, Schools, Businesses and Individuals for showing their support through donations to our organization, and by helping us promote our message within their communities. The donations that we receive from other Foundations, Businesses, and individuals enable us to share our strategies against Bullying and Violence with schools and communities that don’t have the funding to bring our services to them. We are honored to share our growing list of friends that have helped us in building safer schools and communities.
The Saigh Foundation:
The Fred Saigh Foundation has donated $5000.00 in 2013 and $5000.00 in 2014 for us to use to reach out to schools in the Greater St. Louis area. Their donation allows us to provide our services at a lower cost if not for free to communities that are in need. A Big Thank You to the Saigh Foundation!
